About the Artist
My journey with photography began in 2001 when my sister gifted me my first camera, and I have been passionate about it ever since. Today, I bring cinematic, magazine-style storytelling to families, couples, and professionals across Rouse Hill, Kellyville, and Sydney's Hills District.
I'm Shekhar Jay, a photographer inspired by light, emotion, and authentic human connection. What first drew me to photography was the ability to capture genuine moments that might otherwise fade with time. From natural smiles and laughter to quiet, emotional expressions, I love preserving memories that feel real and timeless.
Over the years, I have worked with models, actresses, brides, families, and brands across Australia and internationally, including editorial publications and exhibitions. My experience with fashion and portrait photography has shaped my cinematic style, focused on confidence, personality, and storytelling.
For me, photography is more than creating beautiful images. It is about capturing moments that become meaningful reminders of the people, emotions, and experiences that matter most.
