Choose a 2–4 colour palette
Neutrals (cream, sage, dusty rose, caramel) photograph beautifully against the golden grass and eucalyptus of the Hills District.
Avoid
Bright white, neon colours, large logos, busy patterns, and brand-new shoes that haven't been broken in.
Kids
Comfort first. A happy child in a slightly mismatched outfit always photographs better than a perfectly styled child who's miserable.
Seasonal Sydney tips
Linen and chambray in summer; rust, mustard and olive in autumn; cosy knits and coats in winter; soft pastels and florals in spring.
